This morning I was woken by the sound of Sachi meowing and some crashing noises. Sachi is my sister Lauren's cat, whom is living with us while Lauren is living overseas. Sachi is an inside cat and sleeps inside at night.
She likes to sit near the window in our bathroom (for hours sometimes!) and stare at the bugs, geckos and moths that crawl on the outside of the frosted glass - she can't get to anything but it still seems to entertain her no end. When I heard her crashing around this morning, I thought she was near the window and jumping around trying to catch something.
After a little while I got up to go and have a look as she was meowing quite loudly - I found her in our computer room - outside the window. She was outside on the tiny window ledge, the window was open but it has a screen that you can slide across. She was trying to push the screen so that she could get in.
I helped her get inside and she was all freaked out and very clingy today. She looked all bedraggled - it was quite windy last night and she stayed very close to me. I gave her some food and water and then I went back to bed, to be joined by Sachi, who cuddled up on my chest for some time and then snuggled in the middle of Glenn and I as close as you could get!
Poor little thing, guess she is not used to being outside!
Glenn must have shut the door on the side of this upstairs room last night and Sachi must have been outside on the little balcony and he didn't see her so she was out there all night.
She gets pretty scared outside when other cats come into the yard and when she first came here, she went exploring in the backyard and ended up in the neighbours yard - they have two big dogs and they barked at her and she came racing back inside and didn't want to go outside for days.
When we went out later today, I was trying to find her everywhere but couldn't find her. We looked outside and inside all over the house. Glenn eventually found her in his socks and undies draw in the wardrobe - it was open only a tiny bit and she was curled up in his socks and jocks fast asleep - guess she was still a bit scared and probably catching up on sleep as she probably didn't sleep much last night.
